What happens once my lost pet's GeniusTag is scanned?
You will instantly receive both an SMS and email notification alerting you that your pet has been found. The person who found your pet and scanned their GeniusTag will then have all the information they need to keep your pet safe and will also be able to instantly share their contact information with you.
How does GeniusTag help empower the person that finds my pet to return them safely?
The person who finds your pet has one very important job - keeping them safe until you are able to reunite. GeniusTag provides important information to the person who has found your pet, guiding them on the best way to care for your pet. This includes any special needs your pet may have, such as medication or dietary restrictions, especially if they've been injured.
Is my personal information visible on the tag?
None of your personal information is visible on your pet's GeniusTag - only your pet's unique QR code and Pet ID is visible. Once your pet's GeniusTag is scanned, an alert is immediately sent to you via SMS & email that your pet has been found, so you can begin coordinating the safe return of your furry companion.
Is the GeniusTag waterproof?
Yes! The GeniusTag hangs on your pet's collar like any other tag would. It is made of high quality plastic, connected by a strong metal O ring, and perfectly resistant to inclement weather, jumps in the pool, zoomies on the beach, or playing in mud.
How long does shipping take?
Not long! Once you've ordered your GeniusTag, expect it in your mailbox within about 5 business days.
How long does registering my pet take?
Less than 4 minutes. Once your GeniusTag arrives scan the unique QR code with your phone, or visit our Registration Page and input your 6-digit Pet ID code found on the tag to begin the quick and simple registration process.
